Women's Aid is a national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Operating as a federation of over 170 organisations providing just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England.

Charlotte Miles from Women’s Aid explained that “for 47 years, we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice and raise awareness of domestic abuse.” Almost one in three women aged 16-59 will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime and Women’s Aid also runs direct services, providing support to thousands of women and children every year.

Since June 2019, Raffolux has donated an incredible £20,000 to Women's Aid. Charlotte works in the fundraising team, and noted that the amount will be “monumental in helping us continue our lifesaving work… from supporting our direct services, providing lifesaving support every day, to our campaigning, research and training, that create real change in response to domestic abuse.”

Charlotte expressed Women’s Aid’s concerns for women experiencing abuse at the moment. “For many of these women, home has not been a safe place. Being isolated with a perpetrator has greatly increased the risk to survivors of domestic abuse, as well as limiting the times when they have been able to access the support. We therefore appreciate the generosity of Raffolux more than ever."

I work on the fundraising team at Women's Aid, and I just wanted to tell you a bit about how the support of Raffolux has helped our work.
